We had the absolute pleasure of having Alex as the photographer at our wedding.  From the outset Alex was a joy to work with. Before the camera even came out, Alex’s passion for his work was apparent to us. He patiently took the time to understand what we wanted to achieve from our engagement and wedding photos – even though we had very little idea ourselves when we started. He guided us through the process of choosing locations that were both meaningful for us and presented a beautiful context for our photographs in both in natural and city landscapes. Importantly, he helped us to think of a small number of props to bring along so we could get a few casual shots of us ‘doing’ rather than simply standing and smiling at the camera. He was also able to give us great tips on what to wear during our engagement photos– which can be a surprisingly difficult task.

From the first few minutes of our engagement photo shoot Alex helped us feel comfortable and at ease, which resulted in fantastic photographs! What surprised us about Alex, which we hadn’t expected from anyone in the wedding business, was his passion for his work and his commitment to go above and beyond for us. On two occasions our engagement photo shoot needed to be rescheduled due to poor weather, which didn’t seem to faze Alex at all. His generosity of spirit and passion made him a joy to work with and, we believe, resulted in better portraits than we could have achieved with any other wedding photographer.

When it came to our wedding photographs, we were so pleased with Alex’s technical skills and ability to capture the intimate and beautiful moments from our ceremony and reception with ease. Importantly, we needed a wedding photographer who could work in a dim indoor ceremony location. We were committed to being married in the church we call home – Alex captured it perfectly for us. Alex is very professional, personable and passionate about his work. We had our initial meeting in Alex’s home where he showed us his varied portfolio of previous wedding photos and answered our numerous questions. For our engagement photo shoot, Alex made suggestions for locations, and on the day waited until the sun was ‘just right’ before starting the shoot. You were always relaxed and friendly and made us feel perfectly at ease, but with an infectious energy and passion for your photography that really shines through in your work. Whenever you got excited about getting a great shot we’d get excited too and want to make more wonderful art together. We had a perfect wedding and you captured all the important elements and details, but best of all are the wonderful candid shots of us and our loved ones. You caught so many moments of love and emotion that we will treasure for ever. All our friends and family have commented on how beautiful the photos were and how unobtrusive you were. From the photos it seems like you must have been everywhere, but no one remembers seeing you, like a ghost. We spent a lot of time searching for a photographer for our wedding; we saw lots of nice photos but Alex’s portfolio was our  favourite  as each album was unique and told a story, which we loved.

From emailing, to skyping/phone calls, to meeting in person; Alex has been so kind and attentive, and passionate about capturing and personalising moments, highlighting details, and telling a story.

Alex made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera; at our pre-wedding shoot he had so many awesome ideas but also encouraged us to be creative and ‘direct’ parts of the shoot. We had so much fun at our pre-wedding shoot and it left us even more excited about our wedding.

On our wedding day Alex  was fantastic! Especially considering we had to make a number of last minute plan changes due to weather – he was so flexible and enthusiastic.

Alex, thank you so much for the stunning photos you took of our wedding. They are exactly what we were after – relaxed shots which documented the day, along with the classic, formal shots of our families and bridal party.

We love the wide variety of photos you took and we’re really happy with how diverse they are. It’s going to be really hard to choose which ones to get printed !

We would particularly like to thank you for sticking with us for a whole 12 hours that day! It was a long day, and a lot of shots, yet you were enthusiastic and energetic throughout. From the minute we met Alex we knew we wanted him as our wedding photographer. He was so welcoming and went above and beyond with answering any questions we had.
